Firehouse
Life Between the Calls
2019

Concept

This film sits inside a Berkeley firehouse and watches the day as it is. No narration. No polish. Just the real rhythm between emergencies. You see the routines, the waiting, the teamwork and the pressure that never fully goes away even when the alarms are quiet.

I worked on this story with Jack Hilderbrand and Fuwad Ahamad. We wanted to show the side of firefighting most people never think about. The prep. The small moments that keep the crew steady. The human side of a job built on trust.

I filmed and edited parts of the piece, focusing on the slower beats that explain why this work matters long before the sirens start.
